Cashew Processing Fact Sheet

An interactive guide to our production metrics, cashew grades, processing journey, and key industry terminology.

Key Production Metrics

RCN to Kernel Yield

5 : 1

It takes 5 tons of Raw Cashew Nuts (RCN) to produce 1 ton of finished cashew kernels. This ratio is fundamental to our planning.

Standard Ton Conversion

908 kg

We define 1 ton as 908 kilograms for all internal and external reporting to ensure consistency.

The Processing Journey

Our facility transforms raw cashews through a precise, multi-step process. Hover or tap on each step to learn about its role in producing our high-quality kernels.

1

Roasting

Raw cashews are roasted to make the shell brittle and eliminate the toxic Cashew Nut Shell Liquid (CNSL).

2

Shelling

Roasted nuts are cracked to remove the hard outer shell, exposing the kernel within.

3

Peeling

A fine, reddish-brown skin called the testa is removed from the kernel to reveal its white color.

4

Grading & Sorting

Kernels are meticulously sorted by size, color, and shape into their respective grades.

5

Packaging

Finished kernels are vacuum-sealed in nitrogen-flushed bags to ensure maximum freshness.
