Our Mission

At Aduane Papa (AP), we connect businesses with ethically sourced, high-quality raw cashew nuts from Ghana. We believe in creating value at the source—by sourcing directly from smallholder farmers and partnering with local processors in Ghana’s Sampa and Techiman regions.

Our Story

Aduane Papa was founded by Sena Agezo and Isaac Owusu, two Ghanaians driven by a shared vision to transform Africa’s agricultural value chain.

Isaac, a native of Techiman-Woraso and the son of a cashew farmer, grew up deeply connected to the land and the people behind Ghana’s thriving cashew industry. After moving to the U.S. to study Business and Information Systems, he was struck by the vast price differences between cashew products in the U.S. and the earnings of farmers back home. This disconnect inspired him to rethink how value is distributed across the supply chain.

Sena, who holds a Ph.D. in Neuroscience from Emory University, shares that passion for impact. Also originally from Ghana, Sena is deeply committed to improving the livelihoods of everyday Ghanaians. His drive to create long-term, systemic change in local economies aligned perfectly with Isaac’s agricultural vision.

Together, they co-founded Aduane Papa—a company built on the principles of ethical sourcing, local processing, and equitable trade. Their goal: to keep more value where it’s grown and empower the communities at the heart of Africa’s food production

In 2024, a conversation between Isaac and his formal roommate Sena—who had just returned from visiting Techiman—sparked a shared realization about the untapped potential in Ghana’s cashew industry. Motivated by their roots and a common desire to create change, the two co-founded Aduane Papa—a company built on fair sourcing, local value creation, and sustainable partnerships with global buyers.
